Empowering disadvantaged realities and people’s life through Education and Rural Development: Elisa’s mission in Burkina Faso, Africa
Elisa Chiara holds a master’s degree in Law at the University Amedeo Avogadro in Piedmont, Italy, a professional diploma in International Cooperation and Aid Management at the Institute for the Studies in International Politics of Milan, and a MSc in Innovation and Rural Development at the University of Ouagadougou, in Burkina Faso.
She’s been living and working in Africa since October 2015 acting like the local representative of the Department of Economics of the University of Roma Tre in Italy. She works within a inter-university programme called AGRINOVIA- Agriculture, Africa and Innovation, led by the University of Ouagadougou I Pr Ki Zerbo and other west-african universities, supported by northern universities.
The programme aims to train future professionals in order to support innovations (social, organizational and cultural) which are born at village level.
Empower rural communities through training local professionals means facing no small challenges on a daily basis but Elisa’s mission to bring her best through social interaction and human empathy is stronger than the obstacles coming on the way.
The life lessons we can learn from individuals who use to live in such difficult conditions are so meaningful and surprising at the same time considering their critical perspective towards politics, society and education.
Some pills of EI, humility and information about the respectful profession Elisa carries on with passion and altruism in Africa.
