Making an Impact on People’s lives- Haifa Dia Al-Attia, Founding CEO of Queen Rania Foundation
Mrs.Haifa is a Senior Executive Professional within the Education sector. A career studded with successes and quite a varied amount of projects and entrepreneurial activities.
Since 2018 she has been serving on the Steering Committee of the Paris Peace Forum, an annual event established at the request of President Macron to mark the Centennial of the end of World War I, with 65 heads of state in attendance and over 10,000 participants in its first edition. Between 2012 and 2018, Haifa was the founding CEO of the Queen Rania Foundation for Education and Development (QRF) which serves as an umbrella organization for eight independent NGOs and acts as a research hub to inform and influence national educational policy as well as to develop programs that address needs and gaps in services to Jordanian and Arab learners. In 2014, QRF launched its flagship program, Edraak, the Arab World’s first not for profit MOOC platform which produces original content in the service of Arab youth across the Arab World and today boasts over 2 million learners.She has also been featured on Forbes and rated at 34th place among the Most Influential Women of the Middle East.
She draws and measures her own success by the influence she wields when helping in someone else’s achievement:‘’being part of a bigger thing that yourself, that drives me and that’s really where I measure my success’’ she says.
Haifa highlights how each career journey is unique, and how sharing and learning from others can represent a mentorship opportunity, especially with the lack of apprenticeship our system faces most of the times.
She is also a member of the International Women’s Forum: she served on its Global Board for two years and as Treasurer of IWF/Jordan, chairwoman of its communications committee and member of its Leadership Enhancement and Mentoring Program (LEMP) which offers leadership training to women in middle management allowing them to break the glass ceiling and rise to the top posts in their companies and organizations.
